Guest guest
in Indiana, So glad to hear from you, honey. Sorry about all the new symptoms, but I hope you are mending, now. I had a seven pound ovarian cyst that had to be surgically removed with the left ovary it has surrounded. I was 29 at the time, and asked them to just take everything. The docs refused saying I was too young, but I was back within five years for a complete hysterectomy. They made some money off me, didn't they? LOL You take care, and keep in touch so we know how you are doing. Loving hugs, MM

Guest guest
It's been awhile since I posted. I just wanted to share the fun I've had the last couple of weeks. I hadn't been feeling well. I was running a low grade temp and having terrible chills. I went to the doc on Friday. He told me I had a kidney infection. He gave me some antibiotics and sent me home. When Monday arrived I still wasn't feeling well. I called the doc again and he wanted me in his office ASAP. He then admitted me to the local " Hilton " where I could receive antibiotics via IV. Of course the nurses couldn't get my veins. On the sixth try they finally got it. To add insult to injury the lab came up to draw blood. I told her I take Coumadin and get my blood checked once a month. I showed her where they draw and told her she would have to go deep. Well, wouldn't you know, she didn't. She moved it around until she found my vein. I had been there an hour and heard " I'm sorry " way too many times. I figured that was an omen. Despite the bad luck, I remained positive and the nurses complimented me on my sense of humor. I asked for a gold star but they were all out. I told them I have to have a sense of humor in order to get through all that I do. The next morning my doc comes in and tells me my urine specimen had white blood cells in it. He wanted me to have a CT to check for kidney stones. I'd tell you what I said then but it wasn't very nice! Turns out I didn't have kidney stones but I did have a ruptured ovarian cyst -- on top of the kidney infection. I got to come home yesterday morning. I'm black and blue, exhausted and incredibly sore. My legs have really been bothering me today. I'm hoping that's because of the inactivity the last few days. On another note, a couple of months ago, my rheumy ordered more blood tests. My RNP was elevated indicating Mixed Connective Tissue Disease. I won't tell you what I said then either! LOL I saw a recent post about seizures. I have complex partial seizures. I take 3,000 mg of Keppra a day to control them. They tried several other medicines but I couldn't tolerate them. Because of the Coumadin, the neurologist's choice of seizure meds for me is limited. Sorry I rattled on longer than I intended. I guess that made up for the long lapse in posts. Ya' think? in Indiana
Guest guest
MM, The doctors make a lot of money off me too. I just go out back and grab some off the money tree! Don't you have one of those?? LOL Just once I'd like to stop by one of my doctors' homes and tell them I'd be taking the Mercedes for a week. After all, I helped pay for it. I've been asking the doctors for a hysterectomy for 3 1/2 years. I've already had a round with endometriosis (sp?) and now the ruptured cyst. Not to mention the fact that (because I take Coumadin) when mother nature strikes once a month I'm a mess. I told them I'm not allowed to have more kids, I have a horrible time once a month and I'm sick of it. I told them it would be great to get rid of one problem. They won't until my " back is against the wall. " Sometimes I feel like putting their back against the wall! Nature of the beast, huh? I am on the mend now. My legs are still hurting; but things will get better. > in Indiana, So glad to hear from you, honey. Sorry about all the new > symptoms, but I hope you > are mending, now.
