Guest guest
Margaret, Thanks, I didn't think I was losing it..LOL And I'm sure it's sleep related. I've had sleeping problems all my life but just started having those problems within the last year. I'll be sure to discuss it with my doctor. Maybe he could have some tests or sleep study done. Thanks Again, >This has happened to me about 4-6 times within a year >now and just wanted to get others experiences/opinions >concerning this as well as I have made a Dr. >appointment to talk to concerning this. I've woke up >with unable to move. It's like my brain is telling my >body(ex. legs arms..etc) to move and they can't. Hi, This is a symptom of narcolepsy--a sleep disorder. Probably some other things as well, but that's the only one I know about. If you have intense daytime sleepiness, even to the point of dropping off suddenly, that is another symptom. Another one is having dream like sequences right before you fall asleep, where you see images and hear sounds--this is REM sleep hitting before you are fully asleep.(THis is the one I get that is very weird) And the 4th symptom is where you have sudden muscle weakness when you laugh and other times I can't remember. (I don't get this one). Your doctor may order a sleep study to be sure.
