Guest guest
Rick, My labs have been around those numbers or higher for a year and a half since being diagnosed. So I myself would not be overly concerned about them. The main reason I am listed is that I have cirrhosis. PSC5/07 Listed
Guest guest
Rick, These numbers are actually fairly normal for PSC patients. For PSC you would expect an elevated Alk Phos. due to involvement of the bile ducts. AST is also elevated but not in a range that would raise any concern. As for Bili, a Total Bili of 1.0 is great. Direct bili is only slightly elevated. If you were experiencing symptoms of jaundice these numbers would be significantly higher. Albumin is also in great shape. I would not be concerned with that until you see a consistant drop below 3.0. Here are some of my recent labs to give you some context. I am Stage IV PSC, was diagnosed in 2001 and I am not yet even listed and continuing to live a full and normal life. These numbers show you have much fluctuation you can see in these numbers. 24-Jul 4.5 ALB 7.1 Tot B 5.2 Dir B 387 Alk 129 AST 152 ALT 30-Sep 4.4 ALB 3.6 Tot B 3.3 Dir B 316 Alk 116 Ast 109 Alt in Seattle > > I've posted recently about some fears of CCA causing my recent > increase in bilirubin. Guest guest
, Thank you for your reply. The lab results in context are very helpful. It's great that you're still living a full life at stage IV. Thanks again for sharing! Rick > > > > I've posted recently about some fears of CCA causing my recent > > increase in bilirubin.
