Guest guest
Greetings, everyone! I hope you all got a chance to get out and enjoy at least few minutes of wonderful spring weather like we had here in Ohio today. My Spirit Sister (and best friend) Rhia went with me to my parents' house to transplant my beloved herbs to my new home. I didn't do much more than drive and supervise the placement of the plants, but I'm whipped. I probably won't even be able to get out of bed in the morning, but I love seeing my herbs growing in the garden so much that it's worth it. After an endless wait, I finally got a letter from Disability Determination, stating that they didn't have enough info in my file to make a decision about my application for SSDI. They made an appointment for me to see a doctor, at their expense, for both physical and mental evaluations on May 22nd. From what I've been told, this is pretty standard and is quite important to my claim. I am wondering if anyone who has been through this process has any advice for me about what-- if anything-- I need to take with me to this appointment in order to make the doctor truly understand the extent of my disability. Even though they don't prove that I have Fibromyalgia, I have my MRI films, which show the broken vertebra, degenerative disk disease, osteoarthritis, bulging disks, etc. in the lumbar region of my spine. I plan to take those so that the doctor can actually SEE the damage, instead of simply reading the reports. I listed the problems with my back as part of the basis for my disability, in addition to depression, migraines, and Fibro. I want to be well-prepared for this appointment, so that I can make the most of the doctor's time. Is there anything else I should bring with me? Thanks in advance, -Mareth _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com/intl.asp.
