Greetings all

After a really horrible bout of fibromyalgia, I decided to go looking

for a list. Doctors aren't the best sources of information on this

particular disease and I'm tired of getting vague or useless answers.

This particular list has a lot of members, tons of posts, so I won't

jump in too fast...think I'd better read a bit first as some of what

I'm looking for may already be available here.

My fibromyalgia seems to be the result of silicone implants. I had

my first set " installed " in 1972 and have had 6 additional surgeries

after having leaks, ruptures, etc. For 4 years, I've been fairly

symptom free (since I had implants totally removed), but this past

year has been extremely stressful. Now that I've been able to relax

a bit, it seems my body is playing a little " get even. "

I'm most interested in advances in treatment (medical or holistic),

medications and what works or doesn't. One step that may help is a

yoga class I just signed up for, but any input will be greatly

appreciated.

Now, I'll settle in and start reading.
