There is a scroll of skin there that you pull out on, kind of like

between the shoulder blades. It's really rare for him to ever feel it.

We always put our cats in a towel if we're going to do anything nasty to

them, like give them a pill, so they know when the towel leaves, so does

the nasty stuff. We don't have to wrap Bart for his shot, he doesn't

run, or even care that he gets his shot. Do you do blood sugar testing

at home? We did quite a bit when he first got diabetic. Our vet told

us to use the ear, and if that didn't work, she showed us a major vein

in the leg to use. I couldn't do the leg vein, I always felt like the

blood would come gushing out if I tried. I know one of the guys on a

diabetic cat board, suggested pricking the cat's pads which sounded

nasty to me, not to mention walking with the nick in a litter pan every

day.

Thanks for the reassurance about cats and prednisone. Good to know

you've had them on it long term.

No, this poor guy is like a pin cushion. As long as he has his same

routine everyday his sugar level doesn't change and he is fine. The

back of his neck his so hard, he was muscular to begin, but now, geez he

actually has bent some needles. I just hate to prick him anymore than

the needles. He has been stable now for quite sometime.............oops

I shouldn't have said that, everytime I brag that they are doing good,

boom.
