Guest guest
Meg, I'm sure you're doing fine. As long as you know you want to be a good mother and you care is how you keep up doing it. Still, there will be times you will have to think about your health, and that's fine too. When my kidneys gave up on me almost two years ago, and I was going from hospital to hospital, and started chemo, I wasn't able to do half the things I normally did. Still, I did the best I could. It was from the sofa, but my kids knew I loved them and that I was not well enough to give them as much attention as they expected. We explained it to them and they could see it was because I wasn't well, not because I didn't care. I think it is so important to explain these things to kids. Some people assume their kids are too young to understand, but if you explain it to them according to their understanding, they will do just fine. Believe me I have some really bad days. When I am tired and I try to push myself too hard I tend to be mean to my kids because I don't have the patience. So it is actually easier to take it a bit more slowly, that way you don't loose your sanity. I normally am a wreck each summer, because I try to do a lot of activities and take care of the house, cook, clean, etc. Well, this is the first summer I kept my promise. I try to keep the cooking to a minimum. The house could be a lot neater, but I'll have time in September to do it. I haven't yelled at my kids since the beginning of the summer (well, maybe once or twice I did). Mojo Re: Mojo > > MOjo, > > It sounds like you are the kind of mother that I aspire to be. Guest guest
I'm doing ok. I'm seeing my rheumatologist today, hope he doesn't send me to another doctor with my elbow. It's been bothering me since Father's Day and it is getting worse each and every day. Hope he can help me. I'm pretty sure it is tendonitis (sp?). I hope your arm improves every day. Mojo Mojo Good morning! How are you doing? I thank you so much for calling me the other night. I really appreciate it. Guest guest
Thank you for the information. This will help me to understand the labs for urine specimens. I had not thought to get familar with these before. DUH I really appreciate your taking the time because I know how much it has to hurt you. Just before I ended up doctoring with the Rhuemy I had tendonitis in my right hand (finger area). It was at Thanksgiving and I was instructed to not use that hand and let someone else peel potatoes. LOL Anyway, at the time I asked can it go all the way up the arm? Hmmm No they say. Anyway, I do think that was the forerunner for me. It really hurt a lot and I still have problems in different areas. Again, thanks a lot. barb __________________________________________________
