I am sorry that you are going through this with that nurse that is uncalled for that's for sure. I don't blame you I would look for a new pcp too. I would file a complaint on that nurse to. I think you are doing the right thing there. It's ashame that there are people like that in the medical field that don't care at all about anyone but themselfs. I wish you luck sweetie you will be in my prayers.

Dear Lupie Friends,

I have been a busy Lonewolf today or rather yesterday now that I have looked at the clock.....I had to run some errands and while I was in the Pharmacy Dept . of my grocery store I stopped by to see if there had been any respose at all from my doctors office about the preauthorization for getting my Script for Soma filled.

Lori said that the Nurse 'M aggie' had called.......but only because she was pissed that Lori had been harrassing her about it by repeated calls and leaving nasty messages on her voice mail, and continuing to send faxes .

She then told Lori that she didn't like her 'attitude'!.....but still has not done the paperwork it t takes to get a prescription preauthorized ! I told her that it scares me to death to think that this hateful little nurse holds my life in her hand by controlling whether or not I get the medicines I need.....out of spite.So Lori got permission to 'front me ' enough pills of Soma till my insurance lets me get the prescription filled ......so i've got some Soma.

I came home and had a message from my Insurance Co. that they had recieved my Email requesting a list of Dermatologists in my area...... this time with the address and Phone # ....they had sent me a list of providers.....but said that it would have made the book too thick to include the addreses andphone #s ....but said that they had located 6 doctors near me ,and would be happy to give me that information over the phone..

So then I took the opportunity...... I told them that I was looking for a new Primary care doc. because of what his nurse has put me through.....resulting in possible life threatening situations, not once , but twice now , and in response to my Pharmacys repeated messages left on her voice mail and repeated faxes.....She had called the pharmacist, and told her she didn't like her' attitude' and was still not following through.

So the insurance Co. is mailing me a form to fill out to register a complaint, and asked me to draft them a letter, telling them exactly what has happened.and attach it to the form.. In the meantime ....I 'think I have found a new PCP.right here in Arlinton. .....when I called yesterday.to see if he is taking new patients..the office was already closed for the day, 'so I will be calling again in the morning......wish me luck in finding one who is taking new patients.

And I would sent copies of the complaints to the doctor as well - to his home address if you can find it so that the front office doesn't open and discard the mail before the doctor sees it. If you don't know the home address, then I'd send the copies to the office certified mail, deliver to addressee only and return receipt requested. If you are being treated this way, most likely other patients are as well and the doctor should be made aware it's not your imagination (especially since you now have "backup proof" from the involvement of the pharmacist.

, Here we go again. I don't know what's up with the doctors in Texas! You're forever filing a complaint and trying to find a more suitable doctor. I feel so for you.
