Guest guest
REGARDING CODEX: Kallie mentioned that she wen and checked out snopes on Codex so I decided to go and have a look. It would be great if I could had the time to go and check out what this Barbara has written. http://www.snopes.com/politics/medical/vitamins.asp And just because this person writes that you don't have to worry doesn't mean that is so . . . Even if she is correct it doesn't hurt to be vigilant about these matters. What bothers me is the suggestion that 150 people died from taking Ephedra. I don't believe that for one minute. There have been suggestions that the ball player that was supposed to have died from taking Ephedra drank an extreme amount of diet coke, or diet some kind of cola. I am trying to remember if when it was discussed if they attributed his death (the they in this sentence would be the alternative people) to a combination of the ephedra and asparatame, or if it was just heat and asparatame. What is equally as foolish is even if it were 150 people from ephedra what is the big deal (know that even one death is not right but continue reading) when pharmaceuticals probably kill that many people in one day. As to the Texas thing I would be checking into that one for sure. Did you get that information off from a government site? Governments now often have sites where they list the new possible legislation. Also I love animals, but it would seem this could be a PETA or some other off the wall organization that is trying to sneak a law through to stop using animals for research. If passed, it will prevent all alternative therapies in this state without a veterinarian's prescription. It states the board shall adopt rules to protect the public....alternative therapy, including but not limited to, acupressure, acupuncture, chiropractic, massage therapy, laser therapy, physical therapy, homeopathy, holistic medicine. Contact your representatives and the Agriculture and Livestock committee and let them know your opinion of the economic impact it will have on the animal owners.l Sheila Bliesath StarGate Travel Phone: For more information on travel or becoming an agent info@...
