Guest guest
Hey Val... your addy is already added to my address book... I can't figure out why I'm getting messages that I'm blocked (seems like it's on your end, but I'm not sure...). Here's what I wrote (I did get one reply, the one that I think you're referring to) - hopefully you'll see my additioanl questions here: Here's the post: Thanks so much for getting back to me, Val. If I were to self-medicate and order off the internet (not OTC), how would I know what dose to take and what drug? You guys are talking about Armour a lot... Would there be any harm in taking this medication if I'm NOT hypo? In other words, can I take the meds and see if it works or not with no negative consequences if I'm not hypo? Can you send me the list of sites where I can purchase over the internet? I'm assuming that's it not the same sites that sell Viagra! LOL!!! I got the impression that finding a good doctor would be difficult from reading the yahoo site. GREAT info up there! Maybe I'm being foolish (please tell me if I am... I'm just getting into this stuff), but can I just take the meds to see if I feel better? FYI - I attributed the weight loss to working my ASS off grooming HUGE dogs... I wasn't trying to diet at all. The BP, cholesterol, sugar, etc... is because I lost the weight, or at least that's what I thought. Before grooming, for 15 years I sat a desk all day. No exercise at all. I think I was a heart attack waiting to happen. Plus I smoke (I know, I know...). If I'm hypo, would I have NOT lost the weight sweating my ass off? : ) I'll check out the Ferritin stuff... thanks for the link. I hope I'm not being a pest - a thyroid " newbie " that's dogging you! (no pun intended) LOL!!! It's just that after all your preaching (and I mean that in a VERY GOOD way!) about this for so long, the lightbulb went off and I think I need to look into this. - -
