Guest guest
I can see the light... I never thought in a million years that I would get better. So many appointments and so much time spent looking for answers and I had nearly accepted the fact that I would be like this forever. I am very excited to say that I can see the light at the end of what has been an EXTREMELY longggggggg tunnel. is getting the van loaded up right now and we will be leaving for Colorado shortly. I will be in Dr. Oro's office in 9 hours getting my paperwork and then heading to the hospital for my pre-op stuff. I am both scared and exstatic! The fundraiser last night was awesome. It was so much fun. It was nice to see all these people coming out to support me and my family. My three best friends from high school were all there and that is something that I didn't think would ever happen. A woman from another town Nebraska had Chiari and had surgery with Dr. Oro nearly a year ago and was in Grand Island for her mom's birthday. She heard about my story (I was on the news Friday afternoon and again Saturday night) and stopped by to talk to me about Chiari. And she showed me her scar which is NOTHING compared to what I thought it would be. We had a good turn out and brought in a good amount of money and best of all had lots of fun. My kids were just so excited about the whole thing. There is so much more to say but I need to help now. I will update ASAP. Thank you for all the prayers. It is so surreal. I can't believe it is acutally happening!
