Guest guest
I can so relate to many of the comments here (well, except for the Harley parts!). Reading how some of you have begun living life and feeling joy after receiving proper treatment has actually made me cry...I'm so hoping for the same one day soon. It helps give me hope. My 3rd wedding anniversary is coming up soon...we still consider ourselves newlyweds...and for the life of me I don't know why my husband still loves me so much. I have had to temporarily close my business and can no longer work (I've worked since I was 15). I can't keep up with the laundry or household chores by myself, much less do grocery shopping or simple errands. I'm just too exhausted and seldom have enough energy to leave the house... ....very different from the independent business owner, home owner, and busy single mom of 4 kids that I used to be. But he loves me with all his heart and thinks I'm wonderful and beautiful to boot, even though I'm not. For now, that's my real life and I'm thankful to have his love and support. If it weren't for him and my kids I'm sure I'd be coping with severe depression on top of everything else. My faith is also a very important part of my life and has definitely helped keep me going, although my health has prevented me from being nearly as active as I used to be. All things considered, and in spite of going through such a difficult time right now...I'm pretty darned blessed. Hopefully soon the all-consuming feelings of utter exhaustion will be replaced with the joy and happiness I have right at my fingertips. Guest guest
>how active are all you gals (and guys)? do you get out > much....what is your life like? how has it changed with the hypo? For me, that is the difference between night and day. Before I switched to Armour, I was getting to the point where I couldn't leave the house without having horrible fatigue and horrific adrenal overreactions. I was on T4 with a so-called normal TSH!!! I was getting ready to have my husband drive me to the Social Security Office to apply for disability. Now...since I got on Armour and pushed the limit to find my optimal dose, I OWN AN ANTIQUE STORE. A LARGE ANTIQUE STORE. I stand most of the day. Now granted, I am now dealing with evening fatigue due to my crappy female hormones (high estrogen, low progesterone) and peri-meno. But....that will eventually work itself out. Guest guest
I read it all, , and I'm right where you are, too, right now. Guest guest
My life is extremely busy. We have 3 kids at home...do karate and cheerleading during the week. We are remodeling our home too! So, I would say very active. I'm not as active as the rest of my family though. I have the kids helping keep the house and my fiance is doing the remodel work. I have helped a lot though. We are at the end of the remodeling so, there isn't much for me to help with anymore. Right now due to getting off Cortef, I'm taking it easy and the rest of the house is pitching in. I've been so tired in the afternoon that I have to lay down and sleep for an hour after getting home from work. Last night I did that and then returned to bed by 7:30...exhausted. I have only cut my dose by 5mg and I'm not supposed to decrease for another week but I'm suffering so I decided today that I would go ahead and cut it by 5mg. I'm supposed to but back the dose every two weeks but with the suffering I have I'm going to cut it by one week this time. Either way I suffer until I'm off the meds and I figure if I get too sick by cutting it too early, I can always go back up by 5mg. We'll see how it goes LaCretia >From: nc2406@... >Reply-To: NaturalThyroidHormones >To: NaturalThyroidHormones >Subject: Re: a real life >Date: Wed, 23 Feb 2005 17:15:53 EST >MIME-Version: 1.0 >X-Sender: NC2406@... >Received: from n20a.bulk.scd.yahoo.com ([66.94.237.49]) by >mc3-f7.hotmail.com with Microsoft SMTPSVC(6.0.3790.211); Wed, 23 Feb 2005 >14:17:19 -0800 >Received: from [66.218.69.3] by n20.bulk.scd.yahoo.com with NNFMP; 23 Feb >2005 22:16:10 -0000 >Received: from [66.218.66.98] by mailer3.bulk.scd.yahoo.com with NNFMP; 23 >Feb 2005 22:16:10 -0000 >Received: (qmail 20640 invoked from network); 23 Feb 2005 22:16:08 -0000 >Received: from unknown (66.218.66.217) by m15.grp.scd.yahoo.com with QMQP; >23 Feb 2005 22:16:08 -0000 >Received: from unknown (HELO imo-m18.mx.aol.com) (64.12.138.208) by >mta2.grp.scd.yahoo.com with SMTP; 23 Feb 2005 22:16:08 -0000 >Received: from NC2406@... imo-m18.mx.aol.com (mail_out_v37_r3.8.) id >r.b9.523226dc (4446) for NaturalThyroidHormones >; Wed, 23 >Feb 2005 17:15:54 -0500 (EST) >X-Message-Info: JGTYoYF78jEXESCTNdxJpdn/8MUFJ0PZ6Y2ZhC7IEQY= >X-Yahoo-Newman-Property: groups-email >X-Apparently-To: NaturalThyroidHormones >X-Mailer: 8.0 for Windows sub 6033 >X-eGroups-Remote-IP: 64.12.138.208 >X-Yahoo-Profile: nc2406 >Mailing-List: list NaturalThyroidHormones ; contact >NaturalThyroidHormones-owner >Delivered-To: mailing list NaturalThyroidHormones >Precedence: bulk >List-Unsubscribe: >NaturalThyroidHormones-unsubscribe > >Return-Path: >sentto-7991139-50702-1109196969-lacretiamo=hotmail.com@... >X-OriginalArrivalTime: 23 Feb 2005 22:17:19.0621 (UTC) >FILETIME=[7091C350:01C519F5] > > >just wondering..i feel very stuck in the house sometime. now keep in mind >i >live in the country and everything i could want to do (read, play in the >garden, play with the hubby, play on the computer, cook, etc) I can pretty >much do >without having to see civilization. > >but there is the grocery store to go too...although the hubby does that >sometimes. and sometimes i just feel that i don't have enough " whatever " >to get >out there and do things like i used to. that i'm too content here at home. > and >for one thing, i get tired if i go and do stuff. > >so just wondering - how active are all you gals (and guys)? do you get out >much....what is your life like? how has it changed with the hypo? >cindi > > >

Guest guest
It sounds possible that the adrenal support has been masking some hypo symptoms. Maybe that horrid fatigue you are feeling is simply hypo. Have you tried increasing your thyroid meds a bit? Guest guest
> Parties? What are those? (The only parties we ever see around here > are during the holidays, unfortunately.) ___________________ I moved to a small town and people here look for any excuse to eat too much and get together. They are very laid back here. Sometimes I have to take an extra IsoCort for it or I won't sleep later, but I consider that to be my adrenal thing and not the thyroid.
