I've been taking Thyroid-S since Jan 13 this year. I've been very

happy with it. It is very slightly stronger than Armour I found. I

had armour optimized and then switched to thyroid-S. I haven't been

on Thyroid-S long enough to say I found my optimum dose, but found

the equivalence to be about

3 3/8 armour (opimized dose) = approx 3 1/4 Thyroid-S.

I notice no difference, (except size, color and no smell which I

found disgusting) feels like I am taking Armour. Is a great

subsitute. I was scared that nothing else would work as well, but I

worried for nothing. I love that one bottle will last me 11 months

for just $60 plus $19 shipping. I can afford to stock up which I

bought a second bottle. I'm going to buy 3 more bottles and freeze

it. I'd buy more, but would take to much room in the freezer.

Yeah, it's pretty much indentical, but don't expect the same exact

dose will work.

I should have mentioned that when I switched over from Armour, I

started with 3 3/8 grain Thyroid-S, just as the optimized armour

dose was. By Feb 2 (started Jan 13), I went hyper. I lowered to 3

grains and went hypo, raised to 3 1/4 and the Thyroid-S felt right.

A few days after that I decided I needed lowered my methylprednisone

dose from 5 mg to 4 1/2 mg (stretch marks) and figured at the same

time I had better lower the Thyroid-S. I didn't know how much to

lower it, so I chose to lower from 3 3/8 to 3 grains. That helped,

but then 3 days later I went hyper, so I lowered to 3 grains, but

three days later hyper again so lowered another 1/4.

I'm at 2 3/4 grains now. The last time I felt hyper was 2/26 so

hopefully that won't happen again.

So lowering the cortisol by 1/2 mg caused a need to lower the Thyroid-

S from 3 3/8 to 2 3/4 grains for a total reduction of 5/8 grain. I

got see up close the connection the adrenals have to the thyroid.

Chris;

Did you have to supply a doctor's name, prescription etc for that

amount? that's exactly what I did, but will have to wait and see if

it will get here! Also, how long did it take to get to you from the

time you ordered?

Thanks, Sim

> Actually, what I meant was that I ordered the large amount like

you did, the above makes it sound like I supplied a doctor's name.

If I have to do that, I'll supply the name of my mother's cat w/ the

title of " Dr. " before the name, lol.

LMAO!! Dr. Elvis Luigi is my new doctor and he likes Armour, a LOT!

Ha! I see. I'd never do that my Maxwell, but Elvis, err, Doctor

Elvis is a real trouble maker - he could handle it ;)

I believe there is a spot to put the docs name, but just a

formality. It probably took 10 days.

Where did you order from? My wife is on Cytomel until RAI sessions

are scheduled.

I take care of our health situation, as she is one of the people who

" takes the pill and then goes over and sits in the corner and suffers,

no questions asked " where I question everything. We will be going to

see her EDNO on 14 of March. I have a long list of questions, both

hormonal and RAI related. After the meeting we will know if it is

going to be en easy process to the natural hormone replacment.

Wish us luck.
