Guest guest
Jeannie, Fluorescent lighting, computer screens, and even some TV screens all emit UV rays which have an effect on our bodies, especially our energy levels and skin rashes. It may look ridiculous to wear UV protective clothing indoors, and hats, but you might start a trend, and your employer should be informed that you must avoid UV rays whenever possible. There are filters you can install on your computer screen, and changing light bulbs to incandescent bulbs will eliminate the UV ray problems in the office environment. They use the tube lighting because it is cheaper to install, lasts longer, and costs less to run. However, if they are losing man hours due to illness from UV rays, then it is costing them more in the long run. Hope that is helpful for you.
