Guest guest
Hi, Sami, I am so sorry you are still having to chase after a dx. A lot of us have had to do that, but it is never easy, or less than extremely frustrating. I pray that you find an answer soon, and that you get appropriate treatment. Sounds to me like this doctor doesn't know what she is talking about. After all, my ANA's were neg./pos./neg./pos. with every flare, infection, other related autoimmune flares, etc. They didn't take the word "suspect" off the end of the SLE tag for more than twenty years. However, they DID treat me as though it was Lupus, and I did respond to Plaquenil and anti- inflammatories. I was recently hospitalized for congestive heart failure complications, and they found a large ulcer in my stomach. All three major doctors are not in agreement on the cause of this ulcer, however...one says it is the Lupus, one says it is from type II Diabetes, and the other says it is from taking anti-inflammatories all these years. Go figure, if the docs can't agree, how can my poor body? Or, yours? Honey, don't give up, and be assertive in getting what you need. Many of us have had to be much more "out there" since getting sick than we ever were before. In the end, it pays to insist on good medical care, and persist in being the squeaky wheel that gets the grease. Thinking of you, hugs, MM
