Yes, I want to know what is working for people. If nobody has anything that

is working, then I'd suggest we be our own guinea pigs and try different

things and report back to the group.

I have CFS. I was in really bad shape for a while. Lately my energy has been

higher and I do feel better. I've been doing everything:

I have a spiritual friend who sends me energy regularly.

I have a psychic friend who sends energy.

I wear magnets on my pinky fingers frequently. (Easy to make. Found a woman

on the net who said it helped fibromyalgia alot.)

I go to a chiropractor and am getting treated for heavy metals, candida,

adrenal exhaustion.

I've been working on emotional issues and releasing blocked energy. Just

started a book on how to do chi gong.

I've changed my diet. Less carbohydrates, a little more protein. Pretty much

have given up sugar. Am using a product by Integris which helped me give up

the sugar. I have had really bad hypoglycemia for years and would sugar

binge.

I drink more water and use a high quality sea salt.

I just completed a parasite cleanse.

I take superfoods instead of vitamins.

I go outside for walks barefoot almost daily.

I eliminated many household chemicals.

I cook mostly from scratch.

I eat more Ezekial bread than regular bread.

I test my acid/alkaline balance with pH paper.

I found a health dowser in India. I am going to get together a picture and

info about my diet, etc. and he will give me his input- free.

I attend a drumming circle periodically.

I meditate some.

I tried zapping but didn't notice anything. (Hulda )

I put together a website on CFS and Fibromyalgia with everything I can find

about it that is useful.

I've probably left some stuff out but I think you get the picture.

Peace be yours,

barb

What do you Do?

Hello,

I know that this information has probably been given out in other e-mails

but i missed some of those and the new member will find this informative. I

am trying to figure out what to do regarding the Fibromyalgia. I was hoping

that if everyone who wants to please explain past, present and possible

future treatments. Such as what kind of medications you have taken and if

they worked or not, techniques used to decrease pain that worked or not,

techniques used for trying to sleep at night which worked or not and

anything else that you have found useful or not useful for yourself. I

think this information would be useful to my self and others, because

someone might of tried something that worked and it could work for others.

Of course everyone's body is different and reacts different to treatments,

but it's worth a try.

Please share, Thanks

Hi,

Well, right now I am on the following meds:

Wellbutrin 150mg once a day

Neurontin 600mg 4x's a day

Zanaflex 2mg 2 x's a day and 4mg before bed time

Women's One A Day Multitamin/Multimineral Supplement

Potassium

Citrucel caplets

I also take Inderal 80mg 2x's a day. The inderal & neurontin help control the

migraines and the neurontin helps with the pain. That's what my doc says I find

that the zanaflex helps me so much. I get a good nights sleep and I don't feel

as exhausted as I used to. The only thing about the zanaflex is when I take it

during the day I end up taking a 2 hour nap because it knocks me out, but it

does help. I was taking flexril and that didn't do a thing for me. Well, I hope

that helps. Feel free to ask me anything. Have a great evening!

Hello! I have been suffering since February of this year. Here is what I've

been through:

Tests: all normal

ANA

thyroid

creatine

glucose

I am trying to take 9 Magnesium Malate tablets a day.

Prozac 60 mg

Ultracet every 4 hours but it makes me really sick to my stomach

Zanaflex 8 mg every 6-8 hours.

I take a benadryl for sleep

Most of the time, I just can't take too much of anything. The pain is soooo

severe but when I take meds, I want to throw up.

In conclusion, I haven't found anything to work. My dr refused to put me on

neurontin.

--- I rely on a LOT of extra vitamins, most from a health food

store. I take amitriptyline(elavil) for sleep, and xanax for anxiety

attacks (anxiety = pain). Saw a physical therapist and continue to

do the stretches I was taught. If you are not adverse to marijuana,

it can help with sleep too. Some can't use it due to their work.

Some feel it is abuse to use it. Can we post a health food store if

they allow you to order on line?

I don't think so but you can always ask missy.

I take morphine for pain and I take Vicodon for breakthrough pain. I also

take Klonopin 1 1/2 MG in the morning and at lunch and 3MGs at bedtime. 150

mg of Effexor XR in the morning and 75 mg at noon. The doctor has been

giveing me samples because I have to pay full price for them. I take 45 mg

Remeron at bedtime. And to finish up, Adderall in the morning and I take 20

mgs later in the morning. I have a terrible problem with fatigue and energy

and I hate to go anywhere.

He is afraid that I am going to not want to go anywhere but just stay home so

he is trying to push my energy level. I leave for a week in London at the

end of next week and I feel so tired that I haven't any excited feelings

about going there as I usually do. But I promised my granddaughters that I

would go with them and there mother. They want me to go with them because I

am grammie and grammie goes places with them and also I have been there so

many time that I know London.

My daughter went with me last year and she can get around so there are some

things that I will not be going to. The Tower of London for one.

We are going to see The Phantom of the Opera there and we are going to

Stratford upon Avon to see a play there. I like Stratford and I have spent a

lot of time there too.

Take care,

Irene
