Guest guest
Hi, all! Another post mentioned something about choosing a transplant center far from home. I'm figuring most of you already know this, but just in case for those of you who might not, when considering a transplant facility, make sure you ask what their accommodation restrictions are. For example, I live in Virginia, but I chose Mayo ville as my transplant center and Mayo ville requires I be within four hours driving distance of the facility once I'm put on the list. It's definitely a good thing to know since that extra housing/lodging time can certainly make a big impact on our lives, financial and otherwise. I believe most other transplant facilities also have locational guidelines. Anyhow, just thought I'd throw in my two cents!
