I think it often feels like you worked out too hard x100...the muscles ache even

if all you are doing is breathing. I have what I term as " pin ball machine "

pain...it jumps around my body like a ball in a pin ball machine. It's crazy

and it hurts. I have severe abdominal pain as well as daily nausea and

intestinal cramping. I also have daily headaches. Good luck w/ your doctors!

describe the pain of fibro

Can anyone help me come up with appropriate descriptions for how the

pain feels? I'm struggling with explaining to my doctors how it

feels. I hurt on the back of my neck, my shoulderblades, my

shoulders, the fronts of my elbows, my lower back, my hips, my butt,

my chest, the backs of my kness, my groin. It feels like burning

with occasional sharp pain. Sometimes even itchy feeling. Does

anyone else have that itchy feeling? I haven't been officially

diagnosed with fibromyalgia, but I'm on the right path. Of course it

takes forever to get into a doctor! This pain is awful. And the

abdominal pain supposedly from IBS. I can't stand it.

Any help, support, etc. will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks all,

MN

good descriptive words for the type of pain that applies to me if

this helps describe your own pain. I can name some of mine...deep,

achy, diffuse, arthriticy, stiff, roving, one thing i told my doc was

that it hurt all over, but much more prominent in the joint areas.

My pain also feels inflammatory, even though they say there is no

inflammation process in fibro, it feels that way to me. I also have

such stiffness inbetween my shoulder blades, but more UNDER them it

feels..like right where the muscle is when you pull your

shoulderblades together. I had heard of fibro well before I was

diagnosed, but had no idea of 'trigger points' till my doctor hit

them..then OMG THE SHARP PAIN...its funny, when she touches them it

doesnt' go away right away. Oddly enough, most of my trigger points

are lower ...i have no response from them in my neck areas.
