Go to the menu at the top of the window and click on "tools".

Then click on "spelling" on the dropdown menu.

If Outlook Express is being crotchety, you may want to highlight your message to tell it exactly what you want checked.

BUT MY DROP DOWN MENU DOESN'T EVEN HAVE 'SPELLING' !

ANY WAY IF i KNEW WHERE i MAKE MISTAKES, I WOULD NOT NEED SPELL CHECK.

i WILL JUST USE ENTERNET EXPLORER.......I DON'T PLAN TO BE USING ANY GRAPHICS.........THOUGH I CAN THINK OF SOME I'D LIKE TO USE !!

It doesn't show up until you have a message... but then it should. An alternate way is to hit F7 when you are finished writing your message. If it still doesn't come up you may need to reinstall Outlook Express as it may have become "disconnected."

Sometimes if you do not have WordPerfect or Word on your computer the Spellcheck feature does not work in Outlook Express. It will remain unhighlighted until those things are loaded.

but for this letter I will be using the Enternet Explorer, I don' t have the time right now now to reinstall any thing,, but I will check i t out later.

Also I will be turning off my Yahoo Messinger so I can concentrate all my energies without the distractions of messeges coming in....so if you all don't hear from me the rest of the day It will be because I need all the brain power I can muster to get this letter just right,

I will be posting the finished product when I am finished, as I want all the feed back and suggestions from the group before I send it.

I certainly want all the N.urses, Legal Secretaries, and of course Deanna to look it over before I send it.
