Guest guest
Yes, I have had many UTI's also. I heard that it could be associated with the PSC. I don't know anything about that low oxylate (sp.) diet though. Subject: Infection QuestionTo: Date: Thursday, January 8, 2009, 7:45 AM I posted earlier this week that I wasn't feeling well, really fatigued, breathless, joint pain, pain and pressure in my right side. I thought I might be developing cholangitis, well it turns out that I have a bladder and kidney infection. I get them a lot but this presented a little different. Does any one else have problems with urinary tract infections.I have found reports indicating that females with PBC tend to have problems with them but I don't seem to find much research on PSC. I have small duct PSC, which from what I have been reading appears to be very similar to PBC, I thought I would through this out. Also because the doctors told me two weeks ago that they believe the PSC is affecting my kidney function and placed me on the low oxalate diet. I would appreciate any feed back.Dawn

Guest guest
Hi Dawn ; I have small duct PSC which we found out almost 5 years ago which they believe that I have had it for about maybe 10 year befor that they are not sure. I have all the symtoms that you have at which we were told those are things that I would have to live with. I am on pain meds and have been for the side pain to be able to function to take care of my son and my job, house, etc. My Doc who is very good said they are not totaly sure where the pain comes from, but that all people or most all of them have upper right side pain. I am not on URSO or any of them as my body will not tolrate it. I take a lot of Vitamines watch what I eat, exceisse at the gym pray alot , try and keep a postive attuide, and keep on keepin on. They did almost a year ago cut my fat from my dite to almost nothing, I have to watch protien, my soduim as well. I have quite alot of test coming up here, so I hope that helps. Any other questions just let me know I am new at all of this.
