Guest guest
Hi there, I have not been able to check emails lately. My computer wouldn't connect so I could not log on. Ugh! Well, A spinal epidural injection helps with pain and discomfort associated with lupus and other things. My right arm aften goes numb as well as the fight side of my neck and sometimes my face...the epidural injection is loaded with Steroids and Lidocaine so it will numb the nerves and area and also reduce inflammation. It helps alot. IT is not a long term solution...but it helps for a while (about 3 months for me). Sometimes, the needle that is in the spine can puncture through the epidural lining to the Dura. If this should happen, the spinal fluid leaks into the wrong area and causes HEADACHEs which are painful beyond any headache you have EVER had!!!!It is AWFUL!!!!! The way to fix that leak is for the Dr. to draw blood from the patient and inject it into the spinal epidural and your own blood causes a patch on the leak and 85-90% of the tiem it seals off the leak. That is called a blood patch! Sounds gross huh? So, how are you doing? I had a 2cnd blood patch today. I dont feel so hot. But, I will be MUCH better tomorrow! Yippeeeeee.!~ How are your kiddos doing? I hope you are in good health. What part of North Teaxs do you live? We live in Keller. Have you heard of it? I forgot (crazy ole' me) but how long have you had Lupus? Give me a holler later. You can email me at home if you want to dcgaconnier@.... I am also online always! ha! Chat me if you would like.
