Guest guest
Hi Colette, I too have sore spots in my head I also have a place in the top of my head that feels like a soft spot, when I had my dr, feel the spot he had me go have it x-ray, but there wasn't anything wrong, sometime my head is so sore that I can't hardly comb my hair or wash it. I can't stand to touch it myself. I glad that I'm not the only one. Audie for /headaches Hi, Headaches are very common in fibro patients. I believe we mostly have tension-type headaches because of tight muscles in our neck & shoulders. Are you peri-menopausal, or are your headaches related to your menstrual cycle, have you noticed? My pain is at the base of my skull - which I've read is common in fibro - where the neck muscles attach to the skull. It feels like a brick - or 2 - or 3! lying on my neck, chronically now for over 15 years. Also, my scalp or skull has sore spots, like I've been hit with a hammer the day before. These are called trigger points. I rub them but they don't go away until they are ready. hope my experience is of help, Colette
Guest guest
Hi everyone. I joined your list this week and you all seem very nice and supportive of each other. I've had FM for about 15 years and my mom also has it. I suffer from these types of headaches with the sore spots. I also get severe eye pain sometimes and was diagnosed as having occipital neuralgia. Twice I got nerve blocks which helped, but the last one hasn't stopped the neck pain. I still work full time and the neck pain is really starting to take its toll. At least the headaches have eased off for a while. I usually get a headache every day but haven't had one for about 3 weeks now. The neck seems to have taken over in the headache's absence. Massage doesn't work for me. Seems like I get relief for about an hour and it's back. Does anyone else have this luck? casalona@... wrote: Hi, Headaches are very common in fibro patients.
