Guest guest
HGH or human growth hormone is not legal or over the counter in the USA, lots of companies make things that say they are but its hard to find pure supplements unless you know a good company like Immune Support or better yet, Young Living. There are nutritional supplements that support your body's production of HGH which the body makes to repair tissues when you sleep. Problem with FM is that we don't stay in stage 4 long enough, we get the more awake brain waves (alpha intrusions)when we sleep so we end up with sore, tired bodies. Even regular activity causes micro tears in normal muscles so if you are doing more, the body has more to repair. If you do not breathe well from pain or stress less oxygen gets into the circulation thus producing more lactic acid (see your A&P book) in the cycle. There's hope! Research on GHB shows it may help deep sleep in small amounts but not the illegal bathtub brews. They are replacing the sodium molecule but it shows great promise. I was in the first 2 trials, nasty tasting stuff. I've been using different supplements like Mg & Malic acid, Ultra YOung spray and EFA's plus warm baths in espon salt and pure essential oils. I love the bath gel Morning Start, the smell helps to clear my fog and it has no chemicals to pollute my system more. Caffeine may make us feel better but does increase muscle tension, nicotine is a vasoconstrictor. Its a difficult disorder, some have more trouble with the pain, some with the fatigue...some are so tired they just hurt all over. Do you find that having a good day you may overdo and pay for it for the next few? My PT wants to start a FM clinic and help people cope with their pain if we can get the medical supervisor to approve it. So many PT's and doctors do not understand trigger points and how overactive our sympathetic nervous system is when we hurt so much. We stress quicker which tightens the muscles making it worse. I took a wonderful class on self massage for trigger points using a theracane or tennis ball in a sock. I wish more doctors had a copy of the book, it would really help them understand why we hurt one place but the tight spot is another spot refering the pain. Trigger points can cause problems we would not even think. I had to give up my job as a nurse because of the sudden weakness I get so I now teach classes on ways to cope, Angels, Aromatherapy and the things we CAN do. People may think I have a cake job working from home but we designed this house with my bedroom next to my home office so I can roll into the office on a bad day and take breaks. I just don't tell them how challenged I am and put on my best face when I go out. I will be posting new links in a few weeks to my website of some more helpful things to help people cope and help them understand how it all works. So those of you blessed with a regular paycheck, blessed with young ones to be with...enjoy what you do have. The lack of income really limits what out of pocket things most of us can afford. When the kids are grown you may look back and wish there were still little feet and voices laughing. I was bedridden 10 years ago and boy do I miss the years I should have had with my children when they were young. The doctors gave up on me but I turned to doing the things I could do for myself...and surprised them by living. So I may not be able to work 40 hours but I can help people make a difference in the classes, so my reward is seeing them have hope again. Without health, you have little wealth I feel. So don't loose hope...I look for the little things I CAN do to be my reward. and the mom's on the street who work say they envy me staying home for I've become the neighborhood mom...if they only knew the whole story...but I keep focusing on ability, not dis-ability. boy is it hard somedays. So know you are not alone... Blessings, Marie www.anaturalplace.com ________________________________________________________________ GET INTERNET ACCESS FROM JUNO!
