I'm willing to bet it does since it does with cats. My cat developed

diabetes and then a short time later Inflammatory Bowel Disease. The

prednisone keeps his diarrhea under control. I know it is causing

damage to his body, but before we got things under control by using it,

he was having to be bathed 4-5 times a day because of the diarrhea. He

had to be confined to the kitchen again because of the diarrhea. He was

starting to get very depressed, and it was a very traumatic event each

time he had to be bathed. Even my husband was started to get very upset

by the baths. The prednisone controls the diarrhea so he now has full

run of the house again. He can come sit on our lap or sleep with us.

No more baths except one in a great, great while. Sometimes quality is

better than quantity. IMHO.
