Att: Annie C.. I luv my 6 kitties and I am from Mass. also. When I had to stop

my job also as an admin. assistant I had a sideline as a musician - isb't this

incredibly similar to you? Anyway, I worked doing music and singing and made

out pretty well and could do that as I felt up to things. Ebentually, I had to

stop and apply for my disability. That took 2 years.

My point, however, is that when you are going through this you are feeling your

way along a wall in the dark - you don't know what to expect and can't plan. If

you feel you should not work. I think you will know when the time comes. Let

me know if you want to talk more. Regards, Janet G.

mslupie wrote:Hi Everyone,

I have SLE & FMS & MS. In February I had to leave work on short term

disability because I was flaring all over the place and I barely

could get out of bed every day. You know the drill, fatigue, pain,

the whole nine yards. Anyways, I had from February to June off and I

was starting to look and feel pretty good. In the meantime, around

end of March, early April my husband thought I should try and get on

Social Security Disablity. (at that time I was still feeling

terrible) so I thought I would apply. Well in June I got denied, I

was disappointed but because I started to feel better my husband

thought it would be good if I tried to go back to work. So what I did

is got a part time job. Let me also tell you that I have my own band

and perform on weekends. Well guys, I'm starting to get scared. For

the past 3 weeks I have started going downhill again. I am very

tired, in alot of pain and running fevers. IBS, the whole kit n

kaboodle. I don't know what to do. I know the heat is certainly not

helping but I can't seem to wonder if I bit off more than I can chew

getting this part time job along with my weekend job. I really love

my band. And the other job I have is working as an Administrative

Assistant for a cymbal company! I thought that was cool working with

musical equipment to boot. I work 20 hours a week. That's really not

much and that's what scares me. I would love to have anyone give me

some advise as what I can do or should do. Thank you all so much.

Soft hugs,

Annie C.

from Mass.
