Guest guest
Yeah! But my daughter wasn't impressed, since physical activity is a lot easier for her than mental activity. She wants a prize winning novelist role model. I pointed her to Redford (filmwriter) and (possibly Beethoven) - anyone have any other inspirational academically oriented achievers with PSC to point to? , Mom to 18 yo daughter UC 6/95, PSC 3/09From: Gene A. Klug battled a strong field and fickle weather to finish third overall and first among Americans in parallel giant slalom at the U.S./Canadian Nationals. The national title is the 10th of Klug's career and first since 2007 when he won both the PGS and parallel slalom in Banff, Alberta. http://www.aspentimes.com/article/20090403/SPORTS/904029946

Wasn’t impressed huh, that’s a shame. For us, the fact that is post-transplant makes his accomplishments even more impressive. Of course I’m only viewing it through Ken’s recovery or lack there of. Guest guest
I thought it was pretty impressive, too! But she was dancing 6 hours a week through December when things started getting bad (and the only reason she stopped was that the need to take a nap was overwhelming and too unpredictable to fit with the class schedule - and if she missed any technique classes during the week she had to stop dancing en pointe). She's trying to substitute running, which she finds manageable and can do on her own schedule when she doesn't need a nap. It's the mental and emotional fatigue and lack of mental clarity that she finds overwhelming - she wants to see someone who can do what she is finding unmanageable with PSC. (Besides, she's not finding much impressive at the moment - too busy being mad at the world. I think that's a healthy response - at least for a while.) , Mom to 18 yo daughter UC 6/95, PSC 3/09To: Sent: Friday, April 3, 2009 6:26:54 PMSubject: RE: Klug picks up 10th national title in Quebec Wasn’t impressed huh, that’s a shame. Guest guest
Does anyone know whether Klug is coming to the conference in Chicago?
Guest guest
Boohooo! I would have loved to meet him. His book gave me a lot of inspiration and hope. I bought a few souvenirs in Jerusalem yesterday that can be sold at the auction at the conference (if there is one this year).
