Guest guest
Yes, you are correct, but in the same respect, I have seen the opposite happen on occasion as well. It all depends on the people and the relationship! My husband is a " Hot head " , and very stubborn. Not necessarily with me, but with things in general. I am his opposite. I always say that if your going to act like a 3 year old, you need to take a time out, like a 3 year old. When he goes off, I usually just walk away, and he gets the hint. When he gets on a stubborn, I am always right, streak I always play the devil's advocate to open his eyes to the possibility that there may be 2 sides to a story. LOL He also knows where to stop. There is NO yelling, cursing or name calling at my home, even in fits of anger. I think he really yelled at me once, very early on in our relationship, and I went ballistic...off of the deep end. That ended in a " don't you EVER " conversation, and it has never been done again. What it boils down to, is that some behaviours are tolerable, and some are not. That is decieded very early on by both partners. If you let a little slip, down the road, a little becomes alot. Missy

Guest guest
Thank you Allicia for your uncle's story....I am not a man of ego, but I do have to deal with other men in my life who consider me to be whining lady. That statement in itself is crap since I feel women are the better of the two genders and not because I am a male, simply because I learned while growing up how much men in my family treated their wives and female relatives as " less than them. " I have always totally disagreed with this and therefore I have always put the women in my on a pedestal (well most them anyway!). Guest guest
Missy, Nope. I am not married, but every " live-in " relationship that I have been in is 50/50. Both have checkbooks to the same account. From what I have read here, I cannot believe some of these husbands the way that they treat their wives/significant others, it down right disgraceful. Guest guest
I'm male, age 47 married, been on disabiliity for FMS, CFS, since march of 98 Women vs.. Men Just out of curiosity, are there any men in this group? I know the statistics report that women are much more afflicted with this disease than men. I seem to be the only male so far that I have seen. Just another one of my curious thoughts. I guess dreaming up such questions helps me mind off of the pain and other stuff!! Guest guest
D.H. - Thanks for your reply. How long did it take you to be accepted for disability. I have put off applying for any type of disability for a year now because I thought I would be able to work again. Wrong! Now that I have applied for disability through my insurance company I have been denied. I am in the process of applying for social security disability but from all that I heard and read, I will probably be denied on that was well. My DO and Rheumatologist who worked hand in hand together have told me that I most likely will be denied, but not to let them get away with it. They told me if am denied to keep fighting, but how and what does one do after they have been denied SDI? Regards, Jim " Someday I will fly away and leave all of this to yesterday " Re: Women vs..
