Guest guest
Hi , I had my gallbladder out in 1996. I suffered with it about a year before then because most of my pain was on my lower left side. When I would actually have a gallbladder attack, the pain would be high, radiating into my back. I had trouble breathing, felt nauseous, bloated... I couldn't even lie down, even the covers hurt me, so I walked the floor and cried. By the time I finally gave up and went to the ER, I had a fever because there was infection, as well as stones. Have your doctor order an ultrasound of your gallbladder. That's how they diagnosed me, and lots of other people I know. {{{Hugs}}} Jacqui Jacqui McCallister Age: 39 Dx'd with FMS: 1995, but symptoms since 1984 Approved for SSI Disability: June 18, 2002 Additional Illnesses: Papillary Thyroid Cancer spread to lungs, Intra-Ocular Migraines, TMJ, Allergies, Periodontitis, Mitral Valve Prolapse, IBS, Osteoarthritis, MPS and CFS, Congenital Hip Dysplasia, Osteopenia, Bunions, Heel Spur, Light/Smell/Sound Sensitivities, Motion Sickness, Sleep Problems, Depression, Anxiety Location: Ridgeview, West Virginia USA Divorced, no kids. Gallbladder problems? Hi everyone I know this probably has nothing to do w/ CFS or Fibro but since I am completely ignorant to what I have been diagnosed with I need to ask to see if anyone else has had similar problems. So I am wondering have any of you had any problems with your gallbladders? I am only asking because a few days ago I started feeling pain in what my doctor says is my gallbladder, then the pain moved into the rt. side of my chest/arm and back, I also had difficulty breathing and had a fever. So I am just trying to find out if this is from the CFS,Fibro,Hypoglycemia or another new problem, so if anyone has any info for me about this I would appreciate it.Thanks

Guest guest
Jacqui Thanks for the info, I will definitely have the Dr. order an ultrasound. I would have called my Dr. last week but my husband said I probably had the flu. I knew it wasn't that because the only way I could get relatively comfortable and get close to a full breath was laying in the fetal position on my left side w/ my rt arm in the air, and that's not normal. So thanks again. Gallbladder problems? Guest guest
--- If you puke green, get to a hospital ASAP because you have sepsis. If you have clay colored stools go to the hospital; you might have pancreatitis. This is also a life threatening condition. Sound like your best bet is to get another doctor. Someone needs to take better care of you. Good luck. Guest guest
I had my gallbladder out in 1998 at the age of 34. It was one of the best things I've ever done. I had no idea how awful I felt until I got it out. My symptoms included, pain just under my ribcage on the right, referred pain to my left abdomen, shoulder pain and the feeling that my tummy was really tight - sort of like a band around my middle. An important note. I had three tests: an ultrasound to look for stones, an upper GI scope to check my stomach and some sort of test where I was injected with a substance (a hormone of sorts) which made my gallbladder contract and release. If the pain you feel when it contracts is the same pain you came in with, then it is your gallbladder. Note: the test can make you violently nauseous for about 15-20 seconds. By the time you realize you are sick, it's over! They injected me and as soon as it started, my left side felt just like the pain with which I presented. Boom - gallbladder. I say this because I did not have stones. I had adhesions and scar tissue. Hope that helped! It was worth the week or so it took to recover from the surgery. > Hi everyone I know this probably has nothing to do w/ CFS or Fibro > but since I am completely ignorant to what I have been diagnosed > with I need to ask to see if anyone else has had similar problems. > > So I am wondering have any of you had any problems with your > gallbladders?
