I know this isn't a famous PSC novelist, but it is on my list to read. The

author has Relapsing Polychondritis (which is a really awful disease). She felt

like it was taking over her life. She was a writer and a young mom. She wrote

the book The Heretic's Daughter, I can't think of her name. She researched her

own family and found that she had an ancestor who was hanged as a witch during

the Salem witch trials. Writing the novel was theraputic for her. The book has

really good reviews. She somehow works her own struggle with the disease into

the novel. It hasn't been in when I remember at and Noble. Take care,

Klug picks up 10th national title in Quebec

Americans in parallel giant slalom at the U.S./Canadian Nationals. The national

Thanks! There are some really interesting books coming out of the Salem Witch trials. I'll have to look into this one - I could imagine a similar story line using a physical condition to explain behavior that appeared to others to be witchcraft. I remember one that associated the accused women's behavior with a

spore that could easily have contaminated the flour the community used

for bread, and caused the reported bewitchings.The review for this one looks interesting, but didn't give much clue as to how her struggles with her disease might be worked in.
