Just a quick hello! and pain medication question

Hi every body!!

Welcome new members!

I have been really not motivated to do anything at all for the last week or so.

So I haven't read any e-mails.

I will reply, if you wrote something for me :-)

My husband had radiofrequency rizotomy on Monday, that is where they " burned "

the nerves in six places, right by the facet joints in his low back.

I hope this helps! He is expected to be very sore for a week or two.

He is taking Percocette for pain. I believe he was sleeping last night, but the

night before he couldn't sleep at all. He was on Percocette before and started

NOT to take it because he was staying up all night and sleeping during the day.

I suggested to him to ask to try a different pain reliever. His nurse case

manager said it's not worth trying 10 or 15 different kinds, because than the

pain would be gone anyway.

I can't believe it would take THAT MANY trials. (you can tell I am a little

irritated!!!!)

I will look up Percocettes side effects on a medication website later today.

What kind of medication has helped any of you with severe pain?

The only ones I ever took made me sick, so I have no experience at all.

Thank God I feel OK most of the time, now that my husband is hurting so bad.
