Hard to say because I have been ill for some 15 years. Originally

diagnosed then as M.E./CFS and then only about three years ago I discovered

that I was HCV+.

I immediately concluded that my very severe symptoms were due to the HCV and

for M.E. at all. I had treatment and came off after 8 weeks. People dread

the chemo treatment but, for me, it was no different than my day-to-day

experience of symptoms being really bad.

So, you cann see what happened. Put the M.E. diagnosis down to a

misdiagnosis, then only three weeks ago realised that I had thyroid and adrenal

issues

plus FM.

Now I am left wondering just what is what. I may have no symptoms from the

HCV, it happens, I will only get a clearer idea as I start to clear up some

of the adrenal and thyroid issues.

I do realise the the treatment for HCV can create thyroid problems but I

have no way of knowing as I say just what is what.

And of course it does not have to be black or white, all things illnesses

can co-exist.

To All

I have read over and over that anyone who is being treated with the Interferon

for any form of Hepatitis risks losing their thyroid function. Can't give you

any specific sites right now. The person with the son who has Hep A---Has he

also had Interferon treatment for it? This may explain a lot.

key to most everything for all of us.
