Guest guest
Dear all, I'm at the top of the liver waiting list in Kings College Hospital in London, UK. I've just been signed up for a clinical trial: " Novartis Clinical Trial Protocol CRAD001H2304: A 24 month, multi-center, open-label, randomized, controlled study to evaluate the efficacy and safety of concentration-controlled everolimus to eliminate or to reduce tacrolimus compared to tacrolimus in de novo liver transplant recipients " More information: http://www.vanderbilthealth.com/transplant/18929 Has anyone else been treated with Everolimus, or is anyone else on this trial? I believe it is limited to patients between 18-65 with no significant renal impairment, and who are undergoing first whole-liver heart-beating-donor liver transplants. It certainly sounds interesting - Everolimus has been found to be significantly less nephrotoxic than Tacrolimus in immunosupression following transplant. Anyone else's experiences would be welcome!
