Guest guest
Hi and everyone, My husband and I are going this weekend to check out some hot tubs.Do you have one? I need to talk to someone that has one before I buy one, I don't know anything about them, but I think they would help my pain, I know they are expensive and I don't want to spend them money if they don't work.I do hope that I will feel like going we have to drive at least 50 miles to the city and then going thru the stores,it makes me tired just thinking about it.If any one know about hot tubs, please let me know. Thanks Audie Re: Feeling like I could sleep the rest of my life away. Dawn~ I am so sorry you are feeling so cruddy. I know exactly how you feel. From the end of April till earlier this week I was so exhausted and I hurt so bad. I had to force myself to get up every morning to take the kids to school and then force myself to go get them in the afternoon. I never had any energy. I hope you start feeling a little more energy. Being so exhausted is such a downer. Dawn, just know that you can e-mail when you are not feeling your best, we all do. It's part of our lives and no one here has to go through it alone. Remeber that you are not alone in this. ~Remember ---------------------------------
Guest guest
My doctor said a hot tub would be very beneficial. You are so lucky to be getting one! On the downside I heard they were a pain to keep clean. Maybe hubby could do it? Guest guest
>>>>If any one know about hot tubs, please let me know.<<<< Hi Audie...... I have a hot tub and I wouldn't give it up for anything. Ours is outside and although it is cold getting to the tub but is wonderful after you are in. We take a shower before we get in it to get off all the body oils, hair spray, etc etc and I find it is easier to keep the chemicals balanced. All I have to do is keep bromine (which is used in place of chlorine in a hot tub) in it and it is fine. If you take a shower and gradually let the water get hotter and hotter and then go to tub right away, it is not as hard to get into the hot water. Our tub is set at 104 degrees when it is really cold. In the summer we turn it down to about 100 and you still get the benefit of the heat without being uncomfortable. The more I use the jets the better it feels. Some people cannot tolerate the jets though. I have two separate pumps (which operate the jets) and each pump has two speeds. Some times I like the jets on low and just sit and relax. I also do some leg and arm stretches while sitting in the tub. This house that we just moved into 1 1/2 yrs ago had a very inexpensive hot tub. We used it but really missed the many, many jets we had in our other tub. Our present tub has two seats (we have a 6 seater, which really fits 4 comfortably) that has jets all over the back and 4 jets for the neck and shoulder area. It really helps my pain. We tend to go in late at night and I go right to bed and find if I read by bible for a while, I relax even more and sleep better. By the way.......if the tub is outside, you are not the least bit cold getting out and going inside because the hot water raises your body temp. I highly recommend it Audie.......but remember what works for some people does not always work for another. If you have any other questions, .please feel free to ask. Hope I was able to help you a little. Wishing you all pain free days and nights Jennie ---------------------------------
