Guest guest
Dawn~ I am so sorry you are feeling so cruddy. I know exactly how you feel. From the end of April till earlier this week I was so exhausted and I hurt so bad. I had to force myself to get up every morning to take the kids to school and then force myself to go get them in the afternoon. I never had any energy. I hope you start feeling a little more energy. Being so exhausted is such a downer. Dawn, just know that you can e-mail when you are not feeling your best, we all do. It's part of our lives and no one here has to go through it alone. Remeber that you are not alone in this. ~Remember ---------------------------------
Guest guest
> Yes, I feel like I could sleep the rest of my life away but lieing in > bed > after a certain number of hours hurts too bad! > Thats how I am too. If I sleep or just stay in bed for too long, I'm in alot of pain, so I NEED to get up, to move around. I sometimes end up with a headache too. I hate those days when I'm so tired, I need to sleep and I hurt too much I can't get comfortable to sleep restfully. That usually happens during the day. I sleep soundly at night - well, most times, but am in alot of pain when I get up. I usually can't sleep more than 7 hours at a stretch, but there are times when I sleep 7 hours, get up, shower (usually a long hot shower to help the pain) then another hour or so, I'm so exhausted, I can't think straight and go back to sleep for another hour or two, or sometimes even more. I worked full time for over a year like this.... it was very difficult to accomplish anything. There were times I just wanted to colapse onto the floor by my desk and just sleep. Or, I would sometimes go into the ladies room, sit in the chair they had in there and fall asleep, waking up 30 minutes later not remembering where I was. I am so lucky I didn't get into any trouble then...but they were already aware of my health problems by then. When I couldn't take it anymore, I went on short term disability. I was fortunate to work for a company that had excellent benefits. Now, I sleep when I need to...well, most times. When I commit to something for a friend or family, I keep going, then get so overtired, I have a hard time sleeping later. Guest guest
Hi, I want to thank all of you for understanding and responding to my post.....its so nice to know that there is someone out there to communicate with that knows that this thing is REAL. I hope you all will have a good week. My sons graduation is over! I am so proud of him! He has recieved enough scholorships to attend Purdue University this fall. Do any of you have a harder time when the weather gets hotter? I am melting over here...brain and all!!! My fog hasn't lifted.....I feel like sucha ditz....how depressing is that? Sometimes I wish I could just get myself fired so I could have a rest. Love you all, Dawn > > Dawn~ > I am so sorry you are feeling so cruddy. I know exactly how you feel. Guest guest
Hi and everyone, My husband and I are going this weekend to check out some hot tubs.Do you have one? I need to talk to someone that has one before I buy one, I don't know anything about them, but I think they would help my pain, I know they are expensive and I don't want to spend them money if they don't work.I do hope that I will feel like going we have to drive at least 50 miles to the city and then going thru the stores,it makes me tired just thinking about it.If any one know about hot tubs, please let me know. Thanks Audie Re: Feeling like I could sleep the rest of my life away. Dawn~ I am so sorry you are feeling so cruddy. I know exactly how you feel. Guest guest
Hi Jennie, Thanks for the email, I believe I will like a hot tub, I have a sun porch that I might put my in, I have fireplace in it for winter and ac for summer, there is a lot of windows that I could open when the weather is just right, I have so much pain in my neck and shoulders that I think I would do anything to get some relief, I also hurt in my lower back.I think I will get a small one, just enought where I can get in and be comforable. I will know more after I go look at them this weekend. Thanks again Audie Re: Feeling like I could sleep the rest of my life away. >>>>If any one know about hot tubs, please let me know.<<<< Hi Audie...... I have a hot tub and I wouldn't give it up for anything. Ours is outside and although it is cold getting to the tub but is wonderful after you are in. We take a shower before we get in it to get off all the body oils, hair spray, etc etc and I find it is easier to keep the chemicals balanced. All I have to do is keep bromine (which is used in place of chlorine in a hot tub) in it and it is fine. If you take a shower and gradually let the water get hotter and hotter and then go to tub right away, it is not as hard to get into the hot water. Our tub is set at 104 degrees when it is really cold. In the summer we turn it down to about 100 and you still get the benefit of the heat without being uncomfortable. The more I use the jets the better it feels. Some people cannot tolerate the jets though. I have two separate pumps (which operate the jets) and each pump has two speeds. Some times I like the jets on low and just sit and relax. I also do some leg and arm stretches while sitting in the tub. This house that we just moved into 1 1/2 yrs ago had a very inexpensive hot tub. We used it but really missed the many, many jets we had in our other tub. Our present tub has two seats (we have a 6 seater, which really fits 4 comfortably) that has jets all over the back and 4 jets for the neck and shoulder area. It really helps my pain. We tend to go in late at night and I go right to bed and find if I read by bible for a while, I relax even more and sleep better. By the way.......if the tub is outside, you are not the least bit cold getting out and going inside because the hot water raises your body temp. I highly recommend it Audie.......but remember what works for some people does not always work for another. If you have any other questions, .please feel free to ask. Hope I was able to help you a little. Wishing you all pain free days and nights Jennie ---------------------------------

Guest guest
Dawn: I empathasize with your brain fog. I have it, too. But you can at least work a full time job. That's fantastic! There are many on this list that are so tired and brain-fogged that they absolutely can NOT work 40 hours a week let alone get out of bed in the morning (me included). So you should thank your lucky stars that you are okay enough to work. Guest guest
Hi Jennie, I went last Sat. and picked out my hot tub I bought the first one I looked at, it cost a lot of money so I hope it will be a good one. I know we should have shopped around but you know how hard that is, my husband said if it would help me it was worth the money. I'm not sure when we will get it in, my husband has to do the wiring, , I am going to put it on my sun porch, that way it will be inside looking out,I sure hope it helps this pain,I will let you know how every thing goes, thanks for telling me about your tub.
