Guest guest
Hi Jim, I'm , 49, and one rheumatologist diagnosed me with fibro, but since I have a history of autoimmune disease, I think my problems sterm mostly from that. I don't even have the fibro tender points. I do take Ambien for sleep, and it helps me most of the time. I've had no bad side effects from it that I've noticed, and think it's a pretty good drug. But, some of can tolerate some drugs, and others not. Each case is different. I'm wondering about your psoriatic arthritis--- have you had treatment for that, such as Prednisone or DMARDs ( disease-modifying anti-rheumatic drugs)? I hope so, as that's a disease that can damage your joints, and is similar to rheumatoid arthritis. It's interesting, because your PA by itself could cause many symptoms of fibromyalgia. I know how discouraging it all is. Though I've been a homemaker, my husband would be over-joyed if I got out in the workforce and earned a decent paycheck. We have the money struggles, too, and have gone through all our savings, like you. right now, we're between a rock and a hard place, and may have to sell our home. So, I have no good answers, except to say that somehow, things usually seem to work out- eventually. Take care,
