This is the needs assessment that was

conducted by our Association for the Washington State Department of Health.

I hope this helps.

Florida has done some of this work but I am not sure

if the assessment is complete. I will track down the stage of the results

and send the contact information out.

Research on HIV risk behavior in

Migrant Farm Workers

Greetings,

I am the Program Manager for the Connecticut HIV

Prevention Community

Planning Group. One of the targeted

populations being researched by our Data

Assessment and Analysis Committee

as part of our statewide needs assessment

is the migrant farm worker

population. We are looking for any research that

has been done or is currently in

process regarding HIV Risk Behavior,

Reasons for not using condoms,

services needed but not available, barriers

to accessing prvention services

(e.g. harm reduction, HIV and STD),

knowledge about HIV, and also

access to HIV information.

If anyone has any resources, references or research

they would be willing to

share via snail mail, email or fax,

we would greatly appreciate the

information and reports.

Thanks in advance.
