Guest guest
Hi all! How often do you get your blood work done? I am still new to all of this and my Rheumy isn't checking my blood work for another 4 months. I have been asymptomatic (for the most part) but my blood work now indicates the lupus is active. We have figured out that I have had a couple of flares but didn't realize it at the time because they were both different than I expected. I don't want to come off as paranoid but I don't want to miss something my body is trying to tell me. For instance, I have had pain in my lower left abdonimal area (tender to the touch even) for about three days. I feel constipated but am definitely NOT! I am bloated though. I haven't called the Dr because I don't want to bug my Rheumy in case it isn't anything lupus related and I am between family Dr's for now. So, do I just wait and see what happens? I would know if there was something bad going on wouldn't I? Am I being silly? I just don't know what to expect yet with all of this and want to do everything I can to help myself out! Thanks for listening! Nikki __________________________________________________
Guest guest
Nikki, Get to a doctor, now. Honey, when there is tenderness inside the body, pain, and you are uneasy, best advice is, go to the doctor and see what's going on. Whether or not it is Lupus related is something the Rheumy can tell you. Also, if you are between doctors, the Rheumy can refer you to a decent primary care doc, and you can go from there. Do not delay. This does not sound like something you want to wait around about. Keep us posted on your progress. Hugs, MM
