Guest guest
Friday 27th MarchHI everyone. Good news today, the cmv has responded to the iv meds they gave me, so it has been cut back to once a day from twice. This means I have got rid of the pump that has been attached to me for the last two weeks (it's not very big but was getting very heavy and tedious). It has had to be refilled with meds at the hospital every day, sometimes taking 90 mins, Last Friday it took 5 hours by the time they fussed around. As I am still having it daily, so I still have another two weeks of travel up to the Mater in peak hour traffic, but at least when I leave, once the PICC line is bandaged up it can no longer catch on things (I could tell some really funny stories about leaving it hanging on the bedpost when I got up in the middle of the night and half ripping my arm off, or about the dog grabbing the tubing as it dangled temptingly in front of him, or showering with one arm not only in the air to keep it dry, but hanging out of the shower door to keep the pump dry too), but I am very tired. The daily schedule is weekdays only, so I have the weekend 'off' which is great.Don't forget the Relay for Life we are entering, as a fundraiser for QLD cancer. It's next Saturday night 4th April, so not long now. Donation is easily done online: 1.Go to http://relayforlife.org.au/home.html 2.Click on ‘Donate to a Participant or Team’3.Type in ‘Ipswich Girls' Grammar School 1’ in the search for a team (don’t forget the apostrophe after Girls’) You will find all of us family there, and can choose who to donate to. The kids need the donations more than and I.Thanks for checking here, Love Penny T To send a message to penny and family goto; http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/pennyt
