I can't tolerate caffeine either, but either in Andy's book, or in

the archives for the yahoogroup he talks about the differences

between caffeine, nodoz, maybe chocolate, and a few other substances

like that. If you get really bad " attacks " maybe it wouldn't be a

good idea. Are you chemically sensitive?

>>>Yes. At least to some things. I took a small sniff of some " bubblegum

scented " nail polish remover at Walmart one day...got sick immediatly and

rushed home and was very sick for 2 days. Some other things do not bother me

at all. That one surprised me out of the blue.

In Andy's book he talks

about the phases of the liver and what that means.

>>Fast PAHSE I/SLow PHASE II = chemical sensitivity. Taking CORTISONE is helping

that.

For me, what he

said turned out to be true. Interestingly, he also says that an

iron deficient person may get worse (liver-wise) when the iron

deficiency is corrected.

>>>Oh, is that in the book? Idon't remember thaT...THERE IS SO MUCH CRAMMED INTO

THAT ONE BOOK...IT IS HARD TO TAKE it all in.

I don't know why he said this, but it seems

coincidental that after improving my ferritin, I started developing

noticeably chemical sensitivity. And the chemical sensitivity has

imporved since being on the Cortef.

>>>Yes, adrenals seem to be a big part of allergy/blood sugar.

>>>I am not craving sugar so much with the CORTISONE either.

> Interesting. I was on DMSA for about 7 months straight without a

break. Andy

> had said something aout there being rare circumstances where that

was okay,

> For me it was stoppng internal seizure-like attacks.

So the DMSA helped you for that long?

>>>Yes, and then I started haveing mental/eemotional symtoms and I new it was

time to stop. I think it was probably hard on my adrenals. and taking the

CORTISONE seems to be helping a lot. Maybe I should not have taken it that

long, but the atacks had been so death defying ferocoius, that I was afraid

to top the DMSA for awhile.

Wow, that is an awful lot to deal with! You are a strong person for

keeping yourself together and fighting to get healthy.

>>>I keep trying to remind myself that as well, as I tend to think I am so very

whimpy for being sick and getting affected by stress. My brother is

threatening me with an audit right now, to make sure I am making more money

this year than I did last year...and he wants the books done prefesisonally

by an acocuntant. Heck, I could not work a lick in my shop last year, and

was hanging on to dear life for the bigger part of it.

>>>He wants to make sure that I am " wokring my fingers to the bone " , as he puts

it, or he will cut me off from the little bit of supprt I have been getting

from my trust fund. I should be thankful, because that money saved my life

(financially..), but the added stress it has put on me, I think has had

something to do with why I got so very ill in the first place.

>>>It gets very complicated.....he drew up the trust to control me.....my mother

had no idea what she signed, and when she was dying, he got poweer of

attorney, and she said she could do nothing about things anymore. So there

is a very controlling legal document, and it also says if I do anything to

attack the trust via the courts or legal assistance, the trust will regard

me as having died prior to the trust being initiated. Argh!!!

>>>OOH! I just found my own loophole! If I can get the money to get an attorney,

I can attack the trust and then it will become null and void! Hey! Now

there's a plan!!!!! Of course, I will never get a penny of the 6 digits

involved, but heck, I could gain my freedom that way. As soon as I can

afford it that is what I am going to do! Woohoo!

Yeah, that is what I think interferes with doctors helping. The guy

I am going to seems to finally understand that even though I look

o.k, and even look young for my 49 years, I am pretty messed up

physiologically.

>>>Good!

>>>(I am 49 as well...)

And each new person I go to for consultation seems

to look at me like, " come on, you must be making this up. you look

fine! "

>>>Isn't that just so typical....and even with things other than mercury and

thyroid too. I was once turned away by a hospital when I had ecoli! I almost

died form it when I was finally admitted to another hospital several days

later via emergency. So one can imagine what it is like trying to get help

for mercury toxicity when it is hardly even recognized by most in the

mainstream medical arena.

Then they usually back down a bit when they get whatever

test results back.

>>>Are you referring to standard medical tests, whioch are the only ones most

doctors ill do...or are you referring to other tests like the ones Andy

refer's to?

>>> Lack of money and not having a doctor to work with, have rendered me totally

self medicating...and that is a little scary too...but I am still

here....and I am still kicking and screaming!

>>>Sometimes that's about all we can do, LOL!

>>>~inga
