Guest guest
HEllo, I am hoping someone can help explain what this means, my CT ultrasound state i have a HETEROGENEOUS LIVER. Does anyone know what that means? i had a stent placed a year ago and had it removed a week later. I am currently experiencing pain on my left hand side (right above the love handle), has anyone had that as well?

A great place to find the meaning of words (especially medical words) is here: http://www.merriam-webster.com/medical/   You just enter the word and click “search†and up it pops. It also will pronounce it for you (click on the little speaker).  In this case Heterogeneous means: het·ero·ge·neous Pronunciation: \ˌhet-ə-rə-ˈjē-nē-əs, ˌhe-trə-, -nyəs\ Function: adjective : not uniform in structure or composition <tumors which have a heterogeneous composition by reason of structure and presence of necrosis  HTH Barb in Texas - Together in the Fight - Whatever it Takes!
