Hey, Barb, I am doing pretty good for an old bag who fell on a chair. LOL Ii can't believe they turned the big sprinklers on just as the fireworks were beginning. What a bunch of morons. Anyway,

in the general scramble to avoid getting wet in all that cold wind, I slipped in one of the sprinkler's

mud puddles, and there I was, draped over a lawn chair, desperately hanging on so I wouldn't hit the

ground. Once I'm down on the ground, you need a derrick to get me up, again. Not as big a one as

before my medical incarceration, as I am about 50 lbs. lighter since ten or twelve weeks ago, but

still a sizeable crane, anyway. LOL

I am so glad you got to have some fun yesterday. I think I'll have my fun today, with packing for our

camp out next weekend, and BBQ'ing chicken tonight. I love to cook over a fire, but don't get the

chance much any more. Now that I have the docs' permission to try camping, again, I will get my

fill of it in our five days on the coast. If I survive this test run up to our favorite haunts on the north

coast for five days, then in August we have been invited to join my youngest son's former foster

family at San Simeon, near Hearst Castle. Should be fun. Reesey's foster mom spoils me rotten,

and won't even let me bring my own tent. Says she will bring hers and have her boys put it up for

me so all I have to do is set up my bed. Such a deal! I can hardly wait to get out of town. It's been

nearly three years since I was well enough to camp at all, much less do it alone with just my boys.

We are leaving Sunday the 11th and returning on the 16th. Yippee! BBQ'd salmon, rockfish, cod,

snapper, etc., fresh chowder, fresh fruit and veggies from the farm stands on the way there. We will

be in hog heaven. Will send a report when we get back. Love you, MM
