Guest guest
Point well taken! I guess the difference is that they meds I was taking had their own side effects that were creating difficulty in my daily functioning. Hi , If you had heart disease or diabetes would you stop taking you medicine for the same reason? Dana

Guest guest
, I have been an RN for over 30 years. When you have something serious, medications just have side effects. I know that Elavil has some side effects such as weight gain. You have to weigh the benefits between good and bad. There are many much newer psychotropics that can help. Find a compassionate FEMALE psychiatrist and do what she says. They can help you and even some of the anti-anxiety medications can assist in muscle relaxation. It is a long haul and dealing with incompetent physicians is very hurtful and frustrating. There are good doc's out there, look until you find one.
