While this antibody certainly leads to a definite CNS diagnosis, there remain a great many lupus patients without this antibody who display CNS involvement. " Deanna, I have an anti-dsDNA of 1:2560. My Rheumy won't say anything other than it is a marker for lupus. However I have read that it indicates severe lupus, kidney involvement, and now CNS involvment???? Does that mean that if you have a positive anti-dsNDA you defintely have CNS involvment? Or are you susceptible to it? Whenever I go see my Rheumy unless something has REALLY bugged me I don't mention it. I figure nerves get mixed up from time to time and I don't want to sound like I am paranoid. The only thing I can recall that has bugged me recently is my tongue goes numb and I get lightheaded quite a bit. I have never told any Dr that though. Should I? Sorry I know you don't feel well and here I am bombarding you with questions! If you cannot answer I understand! Rest and take care!
