Guest guest
Darcy, I have panic attacks along with irritable bowel syndrome. My doctors (yeah I have more than 1, lol) say that irritable bowel syndrome is affected by stress and panic. So as long as I don't have stress or panic attacks my ibs is under control. ~~~Tami~~~ --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com). Guest guest
My diagnosis of fibro followed a similar path. First I was diagnosed with generalized anxiety and a phobia disorder (my medical phobia), then I was mistakenly diagnosed with Crohn's, downgraded to IBS, and finally they got to the fibro. Feels like a domino effect after a while. You never think that when you get diagnosed with something psychological that you'll suddenly be besieged with everything physical under the sun. It's like your body gets a grudge against you! And for the doctors who believe fibro is caused by depression...while I did suffer from anxiety before fibro, I did not become deeply depressed until after the pain and fatigue started. Even with anxiety, I was pain free and had a fair amount of energy before fibro started. Love how doctors listen to your chronology of events and then hit you with something that defies logic.... Guest guest
Hi. I was on prednisone for crohn's and after I went off of it I started having panic attacks and have had them ever since, I take xanax for it, I never had them before that. I was dx with fibro right after that also. I do have IBS too. I hate prednisone, I gained 30lbs while taking it and after 2 years I have finally lost all of it! > One of the worst series of panic attacks I've ever had came about > while I was taking prednisone, and is what actually led to my > diagnosis of panic disorder.
