Guest guest
dam thats expensive guess its armour for me too. Need adrenal support but a little hesitant about steroids also so looking for alternatives did adatogen help any? I didn't find anything animal derived. Just herbs. If you're referring to the adrenal support, Adaptogen it's not too bad. My doc charges $31.00 a bottle for 75 capsule bottle. He had me taking 3 times a day so it lasted 25 days. It's the T3 therapy that's so expensive. It was costing me $150.00 a month @ 120mcgs. I didn't want to know what 190mcgs were going to cost...lol So I asked him to put me on Armour. The Adaptogen has : Codonopsis root 100 mg , Devil's Club bark 50 mg, Astragalus root 100 mg, Fo-ti herb 100 mg, Wild Yam root 100 mg, Siberian Ginseng root 50 mg, Ashwaghanda root 150 mg. I've not tried the cortef. I'm scared of steroids. I had to take high doses if prednisone as a teenager and I didn't handle it well, so I'm chicken to try the cortef. Like I said, I was feeling WONDERFUL on the 's Therapy! If my insurance would pay for it I'd still be on the whole program. I'm very drug resistant, so I was impressed that it worked for me as fast as it did. Are taking cortif now? Becky > So the therapy is only herbs no animal derived hormones? Also how much was the medication in the therapy? Have you tried cortef before? < ________________________________________________________________________ ________________________________________________________________________ Message: 25 Date: Tue, 08 Mar 2005 22:43:43 -0000 From: " loboshe " Subject: Re: What's wrong w/ me? I was feeling so good and bragging Hi Molly. Don't feel bad--we've all been there before--when we felt great, then BAMM...something new we had to figure out. And you will! Am I understanding correctly that you are at 3 1/2 grains? Have you done labs recently, and if so, what was your free T3? How about your Ferritin--low Ferritin can cause the exact same symptoms. What about female hormones?? Are you peri-meno, perhaps, which can cause similar symptoms? How long has the feel-bads been occuring? Did they start when the cold started, and when was that? Give us more details about when it all started. A final area to explore are your adrenals. Have you tried the pupil test mentioned in the ADRENALS folder? Do you have any problems sleeping at night? Janie > on my Armour and now, I'm feeling like I did last year this time > w/out Armour! I'm up to 210 mg. but I'm scared to move up because I > think I read that when I get to 3 grains, I need to wait 4-5 weeks > before increasing. Is that right? I felt awful!
