It really sounds like you are right in your gut. If I remember right

your switch to Armour was also to a little smaller dose than your

Synthroid dose. You could do an experiment and raise your dose a

little for just a couple of days or more by 15 mg or 30mg at the

most and see if you feel better. You should know quickly if it

helps. Then you will have your answer about whether it is the dose.

Then drop back down a week or so before the tests if you are worried

about the labs. Your dose is so low already that you will use up any

extra left around in less than a week.

>> Should I

just sit tight and wait for the tests, and then up my own dose

anyway if he doesn't? (also, gaining weight like mad). This is

stupid isn't it? I know in my gut that this is from the dose being

too low! ! <<

Do you have ANY faith this doctor will medicate you properly if you wait? If not

I would increase now, why live in hypo hell for another couple weeks for

nothing? Listen to your gut... Yes it is common for you to feel even worse when

starting a too low dose of Armour and STAYING on it too long. This is why we

encourage folks to increase every 2-3 weeks while their doses are under 3

grains.
