Yes, they say that is part of the problem is that we don't go into stage 4 sleep

very well. They've done experiments with healthy volunteers and made them sleep

deprived and the volunteers end up with fibro/cfs like symptoms. I hope your

doctor can prescribe something else to help you.

I noticed your comment about Elabil and sleeping. It really works, but there

are other meds that will also work well for the proper deep sleep you need. I

have had this sleep disorder all my life and my brother has recentrly been in a

sleep clinic and we both are not sleeping properly at all.I am on Elavil; now

and have my fingers crossed. Janet G

My question is, has anyone ever heard this before? My doctor prescribed

Elavil for sleep and headaches but because of another medication I am on, I

cannot take it. Thankfully, my pharmacist caught it. I left a message for the

doctor and he still has not called back.
