Guest guest
Hi again MS is ruled out with an MRI scan of the brain http://www.ifmss.org.uk/publics/msmgmt/april95/miller.htm is the link for the reading on the MRI and MS also the fact you have a high sed rate is very important..you could have polymalgia rheumatica or some other disorder as listed below…the readings are there for the women….it can be high if you are menstruating and then drop back down again.. I would suggest a few more definitive tests be run before you determine to take those medications…that is my advice and please understand I am only trying to help. ANA-normal RA-normal Anti-RNA-normal Anti-DNA-normal Various liver function tests- all normal HIV-negative Cryoglobulins-high ESR (sed rate)-almost always over 35---even while on anti-inflammatories I usually have about 20 tests every three months. These are the only ones I can remember specifically. My initial visit, he thought I had multiple myeloma (because of the back pain). I had a full body CT scan and it was normal. As far as MS---not sure what they test for that but I don't think I have been tested for it. I had no clue that Zanaflex was usually given to people with MS. What in the world is he thinking? I already have a script for Flexeril. Does anyone take Zanaflex? If so, does it cause drowsiness and sleepiness?
