Guest guest
We have found a great source for safety glasses. We use them with our Vision Outreach program to the working poor and have had a hard time finding inexpensive ANZI spec safety glasses for the farm workers. Nonprofit Warehouse just added them. their site is www.nonprofitwarehouse.com -----Original Message-----From: Alice Larson [mailto:las@...]Sent: Sunday, March 24, 2002 12:52 PM GroupsSubject: [ ] report on Improving Services Access for Persons with Limited English This report might be of interest to folks Alice Larson ----------------------------------------------- Improving Access to Services for Persons with Limited English Prof... The report contains some very helpful recommendations: - The report directly connects medical errors and pt. satisfaction issues (IOM - Report "To Err is Human")with providing LEP services (pp. 20-21). - The report is quite positive about the CLAS standards (p. 43). - In the cost analysis section beginning on p. 50, CHCs are highlighted. An annual estimate of $11.5 M to provide CLAS services is given. - Page 58 begins a very cogent argument that results in a suggestion for bulk purchasing of LEP services (telephone and other) to reduce costs to CHCs and the role of Govt to assure uniformity of LEP services(facilitating availability & access along with stimulating the increased supply & quality of these services (including identifying best practices and enforcing consistency). The first file is the press release. The second file is the entire report. http://www.whitehouse.gov/omb/pubpress/2002-14.pdf http://www.whitehouse.gov/omb/inforeg/lepfinal3-14.pdf To Post a message, send it to: GroupsTo Unsubscribe, send a blank message to: -unsubscribe
