Yep – sometimes cipro, sometimes levaquin, but they are really

about the same drug. The big difference is levaquin is taken once a day, and

cipro twice.

Either way the response is remarkable!

Subject: cholangitis attack - ciprofloxacin prescribed

anyone else had this anti bio??

Hi all,

so out of the blue thurs eve i started feeling terrible then the throwing up

started ever hr or so all through till fri. Thankfully i had appointment with

hep at kings fri afternoon. woke up exhaused, feeling like a used punchbag and

had this funny rash only on my face - has anyone else had this?

the hep had poke at sides n tummy took temp - 38.6!! took shed load of bloods

for culture tests etc.. & put me on ciprofloxacin - wow it has worked

really quickly and touchwood no side effects. Any one else had this anti bio

for an attack? this is only my 2nd, the first being when i fell ill in 2002 and

docs realised i had something wrong when bloods came bac - i.e PSC & UC. so

i'm pretty new to this - do they happen more frequently as you progress???
